Hello,
My name is Mimi Meow
Since moving to Las Vegas in July 2022, I am with two bands and starring in a new off-strip lounge show called “Spellbound,” which premieres at The Space on September 15th! Mimi & the Rivieras is NOW BOOKING!!! We will tickle your “feels” with our 1950s-1960’s style soul and R & B, including songs by Etta James, Barbara Lynn, Jackie Wilson, Alicia Keys, Sam Cooke, and Joss Stone. We also sprinkle a little rockabilly on top of the soul sundae with hits by Wanda Jackson and Imelda May. Stay tuned on social media for news on my second band, which will be sassy and in-your-fave rockabilly.
BIO
Mimi Meow, a Midwest native, has been singing her entire life, since her great aunt and uncle handed her the microphone to a karaoke machine in their garage when she was a child... For years, Mimi sang along with every movie and show on TV and held private Barbie concerts in the family living room. Throughout high school and college, she sang in multiple choirs and select auditioned groups, and she participated in various musical theatre productions, including “All Shook Up” at the Mason City Community Theatre. Most of her singing of her adult life (Don’t worry, she’s still a kid at heart) has been in weddings, funerals, and special events. While living in St. Paul, she was featured as a guest vocalist with various bands, including Fergus Plinko. Mimi has dreamed of being a permanent fixture of a band her whole life, but always knew it needed to be reflective of her style. Her debut project, The Sketchy Messengers were the right crowd to help her grow and zero in on her vintage style. They were the launching point for her talent, and they gained a fast following. Now that she's living in Las Vegas, Mimi has been seen at various jams through the Las Vegas Blues Society, and even participated in their all-female Ma’am Jam! She has two new projects, including Mimi & the Rivieras, a vintage soul and R & B group; as well as a new rockabilly project with members of The Smokestacks and Trevor and the Swinging Johnsons. Mimi is also starring in a new big band and swing lounge show presented by Silver Strike Entertainment, called “Spellbound,” which opens at The Space this September. Follow her social media platforms for updates on the progress of these endeavors and all of her shenanigans!
